Founder Nate Walker, aka Chrohm, turns decades of music experience into a growing promotional and distribution powerhouse.
Some industry bridges are built from the boardroom down. New Money Trap Entertainment was built from the stage up.
The Miami-based indie entertainment company, digital marketing platform, and promotional powerhouse was founded to bridge the gap between independent talent and real industry exposure. NMT Entertainment offers tailored digital promotion, strategic media campaigns, music distribution through New Money Trax, and playlist curation designed to elevate rising Hip-Hop and R&B artists, a full-service engine for the independent grind.
The man behind it knows that grind firsthand. Nate Walker, professionally known as Chrohm, was born and raised in South Florida and comes from an African American and Cuban background. As a Singer-Songwriter, he combines Hip-Hop/Soul with a 90s R&B flava and intimations of pain and pleasure. Ask him where that unique sound came from, and he will humbly tell you: "WELL... JAMES BROWN WAS MY FIRST COUSIN, TWO TIMES REMOVED."
The resume backs it up. Chrohm's early work includes written and vocal collaborations with top performers and producers such as Gorilla Tek and Wyclef Jean. As a teenager, he performed in the Orange Bowl Parade, televised before an audience of over 60 million. In 2014, he graduated from the SAE Institute of Miami for Audio Technology, studying under Charles Dye, the first engineer to mix an entire song in Pro Tools and a Grammy winner for Ricky Martin's "Livin' La Vida Loca."
From there, Chrohm expanded his imprint across the South Florida entertainment landscape, founding RocDaStageLive, a mobile promotional showcase and live event platform dedicated to highlighting regional comedy, poetry, and musical talent. Driven by a passion for cultivating rising artists, he established Chrohm Legacy Entertainment, focused on talent development, brand strategy, and hands-on music business mentorship. In 2016, he won 1st place at the Coast 2 Coast Live showcase in Miami, earning an invitation to the national conference as a VIP representative for the city, and in 2018 he received the Entertainer of the Year Award from The Miami Award Program for his strong digital presence and community engagement.
Today, Chrohm serves as Founder and Executive Music Curator of New Money Trap Entertainment and its distribution arm, New Money Trax Entertainment. Through its flagship Spotify playlist, media features, and indie promotional engine, New Money Trap provides high-impact marketing, DJ pool servicing, and editorial spotlight campaigns for independent Hip-Hop and R&B artists.
He also serves as Music Marketing and Promotions Coordinator at Essential Media Group, the South Florida label where new mixes climb global charts and legacy catalogs dominate sync licensing across film and television. Collaborating alongside industry veterans like DJ Epps, Johnny Mars, and Juels of Rome (Juels Salazar), Chrohm continues to bridge indie hustle and major label execution, most recently with Third World "Now That We Found Love (Eric Kupper Remix)," which hit #1 on the Traxsource Soulful House Chart and the Top 100 during pre-release.
