United on Stage for First Live Appearances in Bulgaria and Greece This Summer
PLEVEN, BULGARIA / VOLOS, GREECE - June 3, 2026 - In a monumental collaboration of heavy metal forces, Ed Mowery, known to fans as "Mr. Tiwanaku," has joined Wade Black's Astronomica for two special performances on their European tour. The crossover appearances will take place on June 27th at the Japara Festival in Pleven, Bulgaria, and July 3rd at Golden R Fest in Volos, Greece. This unique partnership brings together two of metal's most distinctive voices and creative minds, both of whom serve as frontmen and CEOs of their respective projects. Mowery, who founded Tiwanaku in 2003, and Black, the powerhouse vocalist behind Astronomica, share a rich musical history, including Black's recent return to Tiwanaku as an original member in March 2026. The current lineup for the two European dates includes Astronomica band members Wade Black (Lead Vocalist), Rich Marks (Guitarist), and Jason Mark (Drummer), along with Ed Mowery on bass and backup vocals. Fans attending the Japara Festival and Golden R Fest can expect an extraordinary show featuring the combined talents of these metal visionaries. Wade Black shares, “Having Ed join the band right before these European festival dates is particularly meaningful since I just rejoined Tiwanaku. We’ve always had a musical chemistry that transcends individual projects. I’m excited to bring that energy to European audiences.”"Wade and I have shared stages and creative visions for years, and this collaboration represents the unity and strength of the metal community across borders." - Ed Mowery (Mr. Tiwanaku)

Ed Mowery brings to these performances his extensive experience as a former vocalist/bassist for Nocturnus, multi-instrumentalist, engineer, and founder of Particle Collider Entertainment. PCE was established in July 2025 for Tiwanaku, the heavy metal band he founded in 2003, as they enter the third year of their International Tour 2026, with their iconic album "Earth Base One.” Mowery's musical vision is deeply rooted in his philosophy that "music is my religion," with all Tiwanaku songs written based on ancient archaeology, human past, dreams, and true stories, exploring theories about where humanity came from and ancient alien influences. Meanwhile Wade Black, renowned for his powerful vocals and thought-provoking lyrics, has been captivating audiences worldwide with Astronomica's unique blend of aggression, melody, and cosmic introspection, combining the raw aggression of classic metal with the soaring melodies of progressive rock to explore themes of space, time, and the human condition through music that often incorporates cosmic exploration and the search for meaning in a vast universe, building on his career spanning over two decades, including his work on Crimson Glory's "Astronomica" album, which has established him as one of metal's most distinctive voices.
