The Brampton A’s of the National Basketball League (NBL) of Canada participated in the 2014 GlobalBasketball Summer League (GBSL) and featured a summer team in the event that provided a unique scouting opportunity for the club. The Brampton A’s are one of the top teams in the NBL of Canada and features one of the top basketball training facility’s in Canada. At the conclusion of the GBSL they immediately signed a couple of guards which one was recently released. The following (3) signings from the GBSL should provide a significant impact to their 2014-15 team.
Meet Richard Amardi
Position: (4)
Size: 6’9” & 225lbs
2013-14: Oregon University
Passport: Canadian
Richard Amardi is a very athletic player that plays above the basket that possesses some quality basketball skills. He runs the court like a guard and he can handle the basketball very well combined with a nice perimeter shot. He is probably the most gifted natural athlete that attended the GBSL in Las Vegas. His upside potential is unlimited and as he develops his game, he has the ability to play multiple positions at a high level. He averaged 6ppg and 4rpg at Oregon playing only (16) minutes per game which are great numbers in the Pac 12

Meet Tom Granado
Position: (5)
Size: 6’11” & 260lbs
2013-14 Team: Soles (LNBP Mexico)
Tom Granado is a quality legitimate big man with great hands and moves in the post. There was nobody at the GBSL Pro Review that had the size and skills to deal with Tom in the post. He has professional experience in the BJ League in Japan and the LNBP in Mexico. He has a great basketball IQ and is a decent athlete. Tom will be a great addition to the Brampton A’s and be a quality inside force in the NBL of Canada.

Meet Dana Kendrid
Position: Guard
Size: 6’4” & 210lbs
College: Morehouse College
Dana was super impressive at the GBSL event as he demonstrated his high level skills and supreme athletic ability. Dana shot the ball exceptionally well from deep and he has an excellent mid-range game. He was able to create off the dribble and get to the basket at will and use his 40 inch vertical jumping ability. Dana was also named the Co MVP of the Pro Review and was virtually unstoppable at the event. He was very efficient with his shooting percentages in both events and shot well over 55% in both event from the field and over 45% from the 3pt line. He received several offers from teams that attended the event. Dana played for the Brampton A’s team in the GBSL event and they had the opportunity to see his talents first hand. He has NBA D League talent and in the past two summers has been attending a variety of pro exposure events. During the GBSL he finally received his break and was initially offered a contract in the Czech Republic but opted for the NBL of Canada opportunity.
