Big Gay Ice Cream Opening in the Fashion District

Eater LA named Big Gay Ice Cream one of the 22 most anticipated fall restaurant openings in Los Angeles. The New York-based ice cream shop is expected to arrive at 9th and Broadway mid fall. Fans of the Salty Pimp, a delicious mix of vanilla ice cream, dulce de leche, and sea salt, all dipped in chocolate and American Globs (a savory mix of vanilla ice cream, pretzel, sea salt all dipped in chocolate), will be able to get their fix in the Fashion District soon! Customers are able to customize their own delights with menu toppings that include: Olive Oil and Sea Salt, Cayenne Pepper, Wasabi Pea Dust, Crushed Nilla Wafers, Pumpkin Butter, Dulce de Leche, Nutella, Ginger Syrup, Cardamom, Elderflower Syrup, Siracha and Key Lime Curd.

In May 2013, The Daily Beast and USA Today ranked Big Gay Ice Cream as the #5 best ice cream parlor in the world - the highest ranked U.S. ice cream parlor on the list.
